The best option if you prefer staying in Town providing for the community rather than going to fight.

Specializations

After mastering your class, you are presented with the opportunity to keep increasing your power by specializing into a sub-class. While this will raise your maximum potential higher, it will not be an instant upgrade, as you will have to learn and get used to your new ability set. All basic classes have 3 sub-classes, each of them focused on getting the best out of their starter kit (dealing damage, tanking, buffing allies…).

To be eligible to !{specialize} you must max a basic ability and have a level 30+ Academy.

You can level up specialized abilities just like before, by training and raiding, but upon leveling up they will not receive any upgrades, instead you will gain Special Points (1 per level), which you can use to upgrade specific features of your ability, allowing you to widely customize its effect. Special abilities can reach up to level 15.

You can specialize as soon as you meet the requirements, start gaining Special Points and unleash your true power!

Stats and Gear Pieces

Characters have 10 basic stats which you can increase to boost your combat capabilities.
There are lots of ways to increase your stats, such as collecting {gear} pieces from raids or Town Shop, spending your {talent points}, completing certain Kenji's Diary quests, leveling up your vocation levels...

In addition to increasing your stats, gear pieces will also grant you higher stat caps, allowing you to reach higher stages of power.
Each item is linked to a stat, and only modifies the value of that stat. Here is an interactive representation:

Helmet {ARM} 10
Vest {CON} 2500
Belt {HPS} 10/s
Pants {LCK} 10%
Weapon {STR} 250
Amulet 10% {LFS}
Ring 4 {FRY}
Gloves 5/s {DEX}
Boots 5% {AGI}
Spellbook 100 {INT}
There are 14 different tiers of items, each sub-divided in 3 levels
Move the slider to see the different colors for each tier (values are just for reference).
Tier 1 - Level 1

After completing a raid (even if not successfully), your character will automatically swap their items for better ones that might have dropped.
You must meet their level requirement in order to equip them, otherwise they will get automatically recycled at the Forge.
Speaking of the Forge, you will also want to use it to upgrade your item levels (given there are enough forging materials available).

Note: Everything here is subject to change, the game is still under development.
